In this article we will talk about how to prosper in a down economy. One question in mind, how do does people prosper in a bad economy ? If you know what to anticipate you can prosper and be very profitable even in a slow economy. A poll taken and the results revealed where that anywhere from 4 to 31 states have been in a recession at any given times since 1986.
 
  Still you can prosper in a downturn. Look for right the opportunities in adversity,  Many that is determined will be able to start a business in such a climate. Here are some considerations that you need to do in order to prosper. First, you must develop a positive mindset. Yes, as you are going through trials you have to keep your mind positive,so you do not get stressed out and frustrated. You need to established a innovative mind that you can come up with ideals on how to meet people’s needs and or solve people’s problems. That is the key to success in a down economy.
 
 What happens in a down economy is products and services cease to flow because of a down job market. When this process change quickly and dramatically, this produces opportunities for advancement and prosperity when the right platform is chosen.Products or sevices tha with low risk changes lives. The innovative mind seizes opportunities and capitalizes, this is what sets apart successful entrepreneurs from those that allow pressures to conquer them in a downturn.
 
The next tip is that you can’t listen to negative news that is spoken to on a day-to-day basis. You can’t listen to talk like ” situations are getting worse”. You have to determine in your mind that our economy Is getting better and improving everyday. Even when there is a average of 14 million people unemployed and statistically that totals about one in  nine people that are out of work. You have to determine that you are going to be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem.
 
This can be a great time to start a business, in fact 16 of 30 companies that make up the Dow industrial average were started doing a recession or depression. These include companies like Procter & Gamble, Disney, McDonald’s,General Electric and also Johnson & Johnson.
 
Also it is important not to listen to negative people,plenty of people are in the category of negativity. Instead of allowing this to enter your thoughts, you need to get with people that  visualize success and prosperity in their mind just like you. You need to pair up with those people who are successful are actually not feeling the effects of the recession. Really this is a key because it change the way you think.
 
 We need to keep in mind that this thinking process will make a difference in how we attract prosperity in a down economy. Learn a new skill set because the marketplace pays for value. Make conscious decisions to decide that you want to prosper during these times. The Bible speaks in Proverb 23:7 ” For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he..” Be innovative and make life changing futuristic conscious decisions like starting your own business. You may ask, Why is it important to own your own business on your own business? This means job security.
 
 When you work for an employer, that company make the decisions on what your future decisions are. But as a business owner, you can not be fired and you have a great deal more control on your destiny than a traditional employee. Also as a business owner your earnings is virtually unlimited. As a employee you are subject to how much you get paid by your employer. You may receive bonuses or raises over the years but your yearly earnings will be limited to the company’s pay plan.
 
If you have doubt as to if you can make this a reality then your first change is to start with your mindset. Now as stated earlier, here are some more companies that were started in a down economy. Let’s take Burger King Corporation. This company began in 1954 and as it introduced its successful signature burger the whopper, it still exsists today and the company operates in more than 11,100 locations in over 65 countries.
 
IHOP Corp., started in a recession. In July 1958, this restaurant started and now nationally chains over 1300 locations across the USA.
 
 FedEx  Corp. began operations on April 17, 1973 as federal express, a branch of the Federal Reserve.  Mr. Frederick W. Smith had hoped to get a contract. He didn’t but the company that delivered under 86 packages to 25 cities on his first night of operation now manages more than 7.5 million shipments every day worldwide.
 
There are many more that got started in a slow time including MTV networks in 1981, Wikipedia foundations in 2001 and also Sports illustrated was launched on August 16, 1954. Here is a big one, Microsoft in 1975  was created by, Bill gates, a Harvard university dropout. With the determination and the desire and with skillsets that offer value in the marketplace. Also teamed with the right mentors you too can Prosper in a down economy.

First we want to start by making mention of the known phrase “people do not care how much you know until they first know how much you care”. This is so true. If you start a conversation about what you have to sell or your service as your initial pitch, you are in trouble. The first thing you have to learn is to be a good listener, to hear what type of need that the potential prospect has. Also to see if you can address a serious need that they have. You have to have a genuine concern and believe me the potential customer will feel your vibes and if you respect there pain or just waiting for a chance to throw up on them. Not literally but with your sales pitch.

 This quality in itself is so lacking and this is sad news,it is important to master this skill. Our instincts within us wants us to always voice our opinion without thought and our potential customer will fill the non concern on our behalf. If you have ever been told that you do not listen, as a man it most likely came from a woman, you be reminded that this blunt criticism needs to be taken to the heart.Your customers may also be saying this within themselves. Most men have a need to fix attitude and wants to be the one who always solves problems with little listening.For men,unfortunately, this is where our competitive instincts shoot us in the foot.Because when it comes to selling, nobody wants to hear you tell them what they need, until you have first listened to them.

  Maybe you have heard the saying that”buyers are liars” well, the real reasons they respond the way they do is they have never went to buyers school. They do not know what to ask and they are always on the defense as most are afraid of getting ripped off especially if they have ever experienced a bad deal before. So they ask us to tell them about our product and we in return think they really want to hear our answer.The more we talk the more we lose ground. The only person that the customer really would like to talk about is himself. Keep this in mind and avoid telling and selling. There was a study made by a telephone company once to find out which words where most frequently used.  The results was that the personal pronoun I was used 3,900 times in 500 telephones conversations. When you see a group photograph that you are in, whose picture do you look for first? There was a quote made by  Alfred Adler as he states,” It is the individual who is not interested in his fellow men who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others. It is from such individuals that all humans failures spring.

 The customer has a idea that you are selling something and they will buy in their own time. Meanwhile you will not be heard as to being serious about their needs or to have a solutions to their problems until first you have done some serious listening yourself.People do not buy based on price, unless you fail to offer anything else. They want even buy based on features and will not for anything admit this, especially if something more powerful is available. If you had a product at the same price and offered some similar results that your non listening competitor does , you would win every time. Buyers not only want a good product or feature, or even a great benefit. What they really want is to feel great about having made a purchase with someone that really showed genuine hospitality and concern with you as the most important party in the transaction. The best way to sell is to care. People judge caring by how well they feel listened to. So keep in mind that solving a problem or addressing a need or concern without really listening will result in less sells.

 In this article, we are going to discuss four guidelines to propel you to the success you desire. First is when you hear a good idea you need to pay attention and write it down.

Never trust your memory always put your ideas in a journal that you can refer to at a later time. Then go back through your journal and read through the ideas that changed your life. The ideas that you wrote down that may have saved your marriage, the ideas that gave you principles that bailed you out of bankruptcy, the ideas that helped you become successful, and the ideas that changed your finances. Remember that reviewing the collection of ideas that you gathered over the years is key to your mindset. So be a collector of good ideas for your business, for your relationships, for your future.

 The next guideline is to have good plans. Before any master builder or architect construct a house or a building, he or she must have plans in place. What if you started digging a foundation in preparation to build and someone asked you what are you building and you said,” Well I don’t know at this time”. Would this be absurd or what?  Sometimes in life this is how we act, not having a plan for our desired outcome. So we need take everyday and plan it as to the outcome we desire. Take this a step farther and plan our week, then our month, and even our year. Wow what a time- management idea.

When we finish our day, our week, our month, and even our year before we start it, this is a powerful way to complete levels of success in which we never thought possible.  Leave some room to improvise. Leave some room for extra strategies, but finish it before you start it. Lay it out, structure it, and then put it to work. Discipline is required and your learning this is the key to success.

 Now, here is the third guideline to success, learning to deal with the passing of time. It takes time to build a career and it takes time to make changes, so give your project time.  If you are working with people, give them time to learn, grow, change, develop, and produce. And here is a big one: Give yourself time. It takes time to master something new. It takes time to make changes and refine your philosophy as well as activity. Give yourself time to learn, time to develop, time to start some momentum, time to finally achieve. It is easy to be impatient with yourself.

So the point here is, give yourself time, and you can become a pro, you can master the art of parenting, you can master the art of managing time, of conserving resources, of working together as a partner. Give yourself time.

 The third guideline is learn to solve problems, family problems, people problems, financial problems, emotional problems and all business problems etc, The best way to treat a problem is always consider it  as a chance to grow.

Change if you have to, modify if you must, discard an old philosophy that was not working well for a new one. The best way to look at it is, if you will change, everything will change for you. So here it is in a nutshell, learn to master good ideas, have good plans, handle the passing of time and solve problems, and you will be on your way to more success than you could ever imagine! 

As I have pursued Network Marketing, I have come to realize that it is one of the most powerful business models that there is when it comes to making residual income. Never-the-less there are many prospects that when  Network Marketing is mentioned they run. The main reason that this has become a problem is because of the Sales Industry .

 Most people try to use old school techniques and the statistic has been proved that 92% of people are anti-sales. A Network Marketing business is operated by marketing a product or service to a target market that is initially looking for that product or service. Where most mlm companies fail is they use replicated sites that are not search engine optimised and they will also instruct a new recruit to make a list of all there friends and family in which is not considered a target  market in most cases.  

Another key is lack of mlm training. This produces rookies trying to sell instead of  developing a sincere concern to help solve a problem or address a need. The best mlm system has mentoring and relationship as the main drive to build a huge and successful industry. This allows not only a select few of their distributors to make money, but all who will  learn how to use the tools and strategies that is provided. So most people don’t become successful by just joining a good company that has a great product or service.

 This usually accompany frustation because it seems so hard to build a business with the techniques of their uplines. Then there is the buying mlm leads in which the cost will eventually ware you out with credit card debt. All these combined with weeks, months and sometimes years has created a failure rate that gives network marketing and multi level marketing a bad name.  Although I will share with you how to build a mlm list with a Sales Funnel and drive your target market to it.
